Christians in Fellowship
Now all who
believed were together, and had all things in
common...continuing daily with one accord in the
temple, breaking bread from house to
house...praising God and having favor with all the
people. And the Lord added to the church daily
those who were being saved. (Acts 2:44-47)
Parkview seeks in its
fellowship a biblical koinonia, or sacred
community of believers.
People of different
backgrounds and ethnicity all find the ground level
at the foot of the cross. In the grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ, we are reconciled to God the
Father and then to one another.
We seek to be a
transformed community: Each person in relationship
with God through his Word, renewed in God's Image.
Children in Worship
Jesus said, "Let
the little children come to Me, and do not forbid
them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly,
I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom
of God as a little child will be no means enter it."
(Mark 10:14,15)
The worship service
provides time for the children, a lesson "with
Christ by the sea." The Christian Education
and Confirmation classes seek to confirm each child
in that saving, personal relationship with the Lord
Jesus Christ. |
